Let’s talk real quick about those “1-day garage floor coatings” everyone keeps advertising.
We get asked all the time if we offer them, and the answer is simple: Nope. And we never will.
At Gorilla Tuff Coatings, we’re not in the business of quick fixes. We’re here to build something that actually holds up to the Wurtsboro NY Winter or Severe snow in Eldred NY.
Why We Don’t Do 1-Day Systems
Sure, 1-day floors sound great on paper: “Get in, get out, garage done in a day.” But if you’ve lived through a Hudson Valley NY winter or a humid New Jersey summer… you already know the weather here doesn’t play nice with concrete.
Most of those systems skip crucial prep steps, especially moisture testing. And without a solid moisture barrier underneath, that floor is gonna peel, bubble, or flake way sooner than you think.
We’ve been called in to fix those 1-day floors more than we can count.
What We Do Instead
We take a little more time, but it’s worth it.
Our floors are built in layers:
Moisture Barrier Base – to lock out vapor from the concrete.
High-Quality Epoxy Base Coat – gives it strength and deep adhesion.
Full Flake Broadcast – looks awesome and gives slip resistance.
Polyaspartic Top Coat – crystal clear, UV-stable, and tough as nails.
We don’t rush. We don’t cut corners. And that’s exactly why our floors last longer, look better, and don’t yellow over time.
